Akwaaba, and welcome to Ghana Students' Union Japan.

For ten years, GSU-Japan has been a home away from home for Ghanaian students, researchers and professionals across Japan. This year we celebrate that milestone: a decade of academic excellence, leadership, collaboration and community. It is a celebration of how far we have come, and a chance to look ahead to the impact we can keep making together.

Our union brings together students, researchers, professionals and entrepreneurs to share knowledge, exchange ideas and build meaningful connections across disciplines. Through our symposiums, cultural events, talks and mentoring, we hope to inspire innovation, encourage collaboration and strengthen the ties between Africa and Japan, with Ghana at the heart of these partnerships.

I am deeply grateful to our members and alumni, to the Embassy of Ghana in Japan, and to every partner, sponsor and volunteer whose dedication and hard work make our work possible.

If you are new to Japan, or about to arrive, please reach out. Join us, learn from one another and take every opportunity to connect. You do not have to do this alone.

With warm regards,
